about kate

I found yoga after being sidelined by a running injury. I practiced on and off for a few years because I heard it was good for you, and it felt super hard (so I had to be getting a good workout in, right?). After practicing consistently, I realized there was a lot more to it.

I suddenly felt calmer, and was able to better cope with my every day stresses in a way no other “workout” had helped me achieve previously. After sticking with it for awhile, I also noticed my body started to change. Most importantly, my relationship to my body changed in a very positive way.

I love to help my clients build a powerful mind-body connection. I love to help my clients feel strong and calm. I love to help people.

I have my 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certificate from Usha Veda Yoga in Brooklyn, where my own love for yoga was cultivated. I am also 85-hour Prenatal Yoga certified, and am passionate about helping new moms prepare for birth and life. I studied Trauma-informed Yoga Therapy to understand the effects of trauma on our minds, bodies and hearts.
